Sir,
When Journals and series of books having same name are indexed in metadata, the year of publication or the number of volume is required for smoothly searching and for finding the required book . But it is not maintained.

When you do come across such a book and you have downloaded the book, please do write a review mentioning the missing information if you have the time to do so.

The text of the review is included in the search, so what you would enter would become as good as the metadata.

The Internet Archive now has millions of books. The moderators would hardly have the time (or energy!) to go through the whole collection one by one to check and correct mistakes! It is thus the responsibility of people like you and me (i.e., the users) to correct errors as we come across them.

(I am not a moderator.)

You may also consider sending an email. The Internet Archives FAQs says:

How do I report that something's wrong with a book?

If you see an error with a book digitized by the Internet Archive, we'd appreciate knowing about it!

Please send an email with the URL (web address) of the book, and description of the problem, to info -at- archive.org

In some cases, you may know of alternate information about a book that is supplemental to the library bibliographic record. (For example, a new, more modern transliteration of an author's name.)

To share additional information like the above, you may wish to post it using the option to write a review of a book. Your additional information will then be available for everyone to see.
